First electric car? The $3,500 the State puts toward it is already inside the Niro EV and EV6 payments above, not something you apply for later.
What has to be true: it is your first zero-emission vehicle, you are a California resident, the new vehicle's MSRP is $50,000 or below, and the car is purchased, delivered and registered in California. Funding runs out, so we confirm what is available on the day.

Offer valid on 10/01/2026. 2026 Niro EV Wave shown with optional features. Some features may vary. Offer available only to eligible California residents who are first-time purchasers or lessees of an eligible zero-emission vehicle through the MyFirstEV program, and is subject to dealer participation. Eligible vehicles must be purchased, delivered, and registered in California and meet all applicable program requirements, including vehicle type, MSRP limits, and other requirements. Why Daly City Goes Electric:
the #1 EV Market in the US.
Daly City trips are short: Westlake errands, John Daly Boulevard, a run into the city. Short trips are hard on a gas engine, which spends much of them below its efficient operating temperature, while an electric motor is at full torque from the start. Cold, damp weather does cut EV range and slow charging, so ask us which models offer a heat pump and what to expect. With regenerative braking on the Skyline grades and an overnight charge at home, many local drivers rarely need a public charger.
Stop-and-go on US-101 or I-280? Regenerative braking turns every slowdown into free range. Short daily commutes mean most Peninsula drivers charge only once every few days.
Peninsula drivers have access to hundreds of fast chargers - Electrify America, ChargePoint, EVgo, and more. Plus, Kia EVs include complimentary charging credits (Electrify America stations) to get you started*SourcePublic charging access and Kia Charge Pass details are based on Kia Owners Portal information and current network availability. Ask Serramonte Kia for current participating programs..
California offers a range of EV incentives that can help make driving electric more affordable. Programs such as the Drive Clean Assistance Program, Clean Cars 4 All, and local utility rebates may provide significant savings for eligible buyers*NoteIncentives vary by buyer and program eligibility. Contact Serramonte Kia sales for the latest information..
Kia EV Charging Options
Explained.

Kia EV Dealer Daly City — Frequently Asked Questions.
What Daly City drivers ask us before going electric, answered with the source behind each answer. Last updated September 4, 2026.
Yes. Kia America is offering $10,000 Customer Cash on select new 2026 Kia Niro EV models from October 1 through November 2, 2026. It applies only when you buy, not when you lease, and it comes off the price rather than being paid out in cash. Kia requires delivery by October 31, 2026, and inventory is limited, so see every Niro EV we have in stock or call our sales team to confirm which cars qualify.
The Niro EV lease we are advertising this month is on the lease cards on this page, with its payment, term, amount due at signing and the exact VIN it applies to. Each advertised lease covers one specific in-stock car, so the offer ends when that car sells.
Every advertised payment is plus tax, and the amount due at signing excludes tax, title, license, the acquisition fee, the first payment and dealer fees. There is no security deposit and a $399 disposition fee applies at lease end. Advertised payments assume Tier 1 approved credit and not all customers will qualify*SourceOffer Details as published on the Serramonte Kia specials page.

It is a smaller car on a front-wheel-drive-based architecture rather than the 800-volt E-GMP platform the EV6 and EV9 use. The clearest trade-off is DC fast-charging speed: the Niro EV needs roughly 43 to 45 minutes to reach 80%, while an EV6 does it in about 20 to 24 minutes*SourceKia specifications: 2026 Niro EV 64.8 kWh battery, EPA-estimated 253 miles, 43-45 minutes to 80% on DC fast charge; 2026 EV6 Light 63.0 kWh with 180 kW peak DC input, Long Range 84.0 kWh with 240 kW, about 20-24 minutes; 2026 EV9 Light rear-drive EPA-estimated 230 miles.
kiamedia.com.
Range is not the trade-off, and neither is battery size. The Niro EV carries 64.8 kWh and is EPA-rated at 253 miles, against 63.0 kWh and 230 miles for the EV6 Light and EV9 Light rear-drive respectively. For Daly City distances the smaller footprint and lower price often make it the practical choice; if you regularly drive to Tahoe or Los Angeles, the EV6's faster charging is worth the money.
Two warranties matter here. The EV System Warranty covers the electric motor, high-voltage battery, power control unit and on-board charger for 10 years or 100,000 miles from first service, and battery capacity loss below 70% is covered on the same terms*SourceKia EV System Warranty: electric motor, high-voltage battery, power control unit and on-board charger, 10 years/100,000 miles from first service; battery capacity loss below 70% covered on the same terms.

The separate powertrain limited warranty runs 10 years or 100,000 miles for the original owner, and 5 years or 60,000 miles for a second or subsequent owner*SourceKia warranty terms: powertrain limited warranty 10 years/100,000 miles for the original owner, 5 years/60,000 miles for a second or subsequent owner.

Colma, not Daly City. Colma station is about a mile from 600 Serramonte Blvd, roughly a 24-minute walk from Serramonte Center, while Daly City station is closer to an hour on foot*SourceBART Colma station page and walking-distance transit listings from Serramonte Center.

So if you are starting at Daly City BART, ride one stop south to Colma rather than walking it.
Yes. Route 122 runs between South San Francisco BART and Stonestown/SF State and stops at Colma BART, Serramonte Center and Westlake Shopping Center along the way, which puts you next to us. Route 120 terminates at Colma BART, the closest station to our showroom*SourceSamTrans route pages: 120 runs Colma BART - Brunswick/Templeton; 122 runs South SF BART - Stonestown/SF State, serving Colma BART, Serramonte Center and Westlake Shopping Center. Check current timetables.

SamTrans has restructured these routes before, so check the current timetable for the day you travel. Our service department also runs a shuttle to Daly City BART station, so if you are leaving a car with us you do not need to arrange a ride. Call 888-956-7349 if you want us to confirm the stop.
Four things have to line up: you are a California resident, this is the first zero-emission vehicle you have bought or leased, the new vehicle's MSRP is $50,000 or less, and the car is purchased, delivered and registered in California*SourceCalifornia MyFirstEV program terms: $3,500 for a California resident buying or leasing a first zero-emission vehicle, new-vehicle MSRP cap $50,000, vehicle purchased, delivered and registered in California, applied at the dealership as a down payment and subject to dealer participation. Vehicle and customer eligibility, incentive amounts, funding availability and program requirements are set by the State and can change; funding is limited. Serramonte Kia does not administer the program.
ww2.arb.ca.gov.
The money comes off at the dealership as a down payment rather than as something you claim back later, and it depends on dealer participation. Funding is limited, so we check what is still available before you sign. On the Niro EV and EV6 leases on this page it is already inside the advertised payment.
